About Rose's Custom Tailoring in Mid-town Anchorage, AK

Rose's Custom Tailoring is a family and female-owned and operated tailoring and alteration shop. Our shop has a large fitting area and three private dressing rooms. In addition to our tailoring, seamstress, and alteration services, we also carry formal wear and gowns for purchase.

We are located in mid-town Anchorage, at the corner of Arctic and Benson, across from McDonald’s. 

Expert Tailoring and Alterations Since 1999

Rose's Custom Tailoring has provided tailoring and alterations in the Anchorage area since 1999, helping men and women from all walks of life achieve the perfect fit. Some of the shop’s valued customers include local police, firefighters, airline personnel, and other professionals who need to show their best side to the public. We also help customers shine at special events, like weddings, proms, beauty pageants, and balls, where a great-fitting dress or suit is essential.

Meet Owner/Operator Rose Pak

Born in Seoul, South Korea, owner/operator Rose Pak came to the U.S. in 1984 with her husband, Yong Pak. They have two children. In the U.S., Rose worked for 10 years as a manager at Nordstrom. After years of working for others, Rose decided to start her own business. She found a space in the heart of Anchorage and opened up Rose's Custom Tailoring.

Early Experience and On-the-Job Training

Growing up n Seoul, South Korea, Rose’s father noticed her early talents and encouraged to study as a tailor and seamstress. She studied tailoring in Seoul before moving to the U.S. Over the years, she was able to improve her tailoring and seamstress skills with on-the-job training. When working with clients, Rose’s technique is a collaborative one. She will consult with clients to make sure she has grasped everything that they want and will often use her knowledge and experience to make recommendations.
